Exhibit: As the project schedule progresses, design revision costs will increase while opportunity for design revisions will decrease.
The purpose of BuilderBode Checklist is to anticipate the future needs of your home from a design and usability perspective. Implementing the listed items during the original design and build phase will cost you a fraction of what it will take to implement after construction completion.
The purpose of BuilderBode Punchwalk is to ensure that the quality of final work performed by the contractor is meeting the owner’s expectations.
The cost savings from using BuilderBode are not only monetary but will inevitably save you time and energy.
How to use:
During the design phase, the owner should review each line item within the Checklist and mark the strategy desired to be implemented and/or discussed with the general contractor. Additionally, the list can be used to identify and drive product selections. As a starting point, the Checklist has provided architect-recommended products to help get you started.
At the end of the construction build schedule, the Punchwalk should be utilized to review items for, but not limited to: quality of product installations and wear-and-tear caused by contractors. This walk should take place after construction completion, but before the general contractor leaves.
